Udacity Newsletter

july 2013

Hello tlfong01,

We're excited to announce three game-changing new courses to the Udacity course catalog—all available this fall, and all enrolling now!

The Design of Everyday Things

The Design of Everyday Things (Design101) is taught by the renowned Don Norman, author of the bestseller The Design of Everyday Things, and Kristian Simsarian. This course could very well change the way you view the world. Students will acquire the knowledge and experience needed to become design thinkers and doers, and the course will cover valuable design tips and career advice from design luminaries.

Tales From the Genome

Tales from the Genome (BIO110), is a fascinating study of our organic code: DNA. Ever wonder how the code of life is turned into flesh and blood? This course is taught by Dr. Matthew Cook in collaboration with 23andMe, and will show you how to connect your genome to your traits and reveal what it really means to be human.

Mobile Web Development

Mobile Web Development (CS256), will cover the hottest space around: developing for mobile devices. Our community has been clamoring for this course and we're delivering. We're collaborating with Google instructors Chris Wilson and Peter Lubbers to bring you this cutting-edge course.
Finally, thanks to everyone that made our Second Annual Global Meetup a success this month! Countless Udacians across the world gathered to celebrate Udacity and discuss tech hiring best practices with industry experts.

See you in class,

The Udacity Team
